So, you’re looking for a used car, and you probably want to get the best deal possible, right?  If this sounds like you, I wanted to point out the top four websites online that will offer you some of the best deals around the United States.  Let’s take a look at some of the used car websites that you should explore.

  • eBay: When you think of eBay, you probably think of video games, computers, and other items, but you probably didn’t think of cars.  eBay is filled with automobiles around the globe.  Input what you’re looking for, look at the pictures, an see if it’s something that you truly want to purchase.
  • Craigslist: This is now America’s favorite classified ad.  It’s free to look at, and it’s also free to post just about anything, that’s why it’s filled with ads.  Search your local area, and see what people have to offer.  If it’s a good deal, it’s not going to last long, so I would recommend checking it out at least 2-3 times a day.
  • Cars.com: Cars.com is one that sits under the radar.  It’s a great search engine, and you can find cars that are new, used, and those that are from private sellers, as well as dealers.  It’s a great engine that’s going to spit out fantastic results.  Give it a shot, it’s free to search, and join!
  • AutoTrader: The last one that I like is an oldie, but a goodie.  It’s another service online such as Cars.com.  They have both an online publication, as well as a print publication as well.  Just like Cars.com, browse what you’re looking for, and find a car that suits your needs.

Test these 4 sites out, and I can almost assure you that you will find a car that suits your needs!

Best car prices possibleHeading to your local dealership can be very intimidated, and if you head in not knowing what to do, it’s going to hurt your even more.  If you’re looking for tips on how you can get the best car price possible, when wanting to purchase an automobile, I wanted to give you 4 simple tips that you can use.

Know your prices: Before you even set foot into the dealership, you will want to know how much that car cost the dealer.  They are going to prey on the weak, and if you can’t haggle, or you don’t want to, you’re going to get ripped off, I can promise you that much!  Check out a wonderful site called CarBuyingTips that shows you exactly how much people have been paying for their car, it’s great!

Start at sticker: When you find out what the dealer paid for it, you start with that price first.  It’s going to be awfully hard for them to sell under what they paid for it.  It just doesn’t make sense.  If you pay about 6-8% over the sticker price, I can say that you got a good deal.  You can always tell them that you’re going to go to another dealer, and see what they will do to keep you there.

Watch the financing: If you’re going to finance your car, make sure that you do shopping for this.  The dealership is generally going to offer some of the highest rates, and they will tack on pretty high fees as well.  Unless you’re getting 0%, or you’re paying cash, you will definitely want to check your local banks, and credit unions.

Watch the extras: All dealers want more than just your car purchase.  They want to throw in a 10 year warranty, $250 floor mats, and a $1,000 wax job.  All of these extras are bogus, and cost an arm, and leg.  You don’t need them, and you can survive just with the basics, trust me.

It’s really not that hard to get the best price.  You don’t need a coupon, nor do you need to know someone.  Just know what they pay, and you should be able to get the best price for yourself.

Buying a car for the first time can be a little troubling, and stressful all at the same time.  If you’re in the process of purchasing a car today, I wanted to give you some simple, yet easy steps on how you can get the best deal on your car purchase.

Research your car - The first thing that you’re going to want to do is research your car.  If you don’t know what you want, check out a few of the top car companies such as Toyota, Honda, and Ford.  Remember, you will want to focus on quality, before you focus on a “look.”

Do you want used? A used car in my opinion is generally the way to go, when you’re ready to purchase a car.  What you’re going to find is that when you purchase a new car, you’re not only going to have to deal with pushy salesmen, you’re going to lose your car’s value, right when it drives off the car lot.  Try websites such as Cars.com to find a car that suits you.  It will also give you a good price range.

Find your car - Start your search online.  Make sure that you’re getting the best price (check the KBB), and know what you’re getting a good deal with the car.  What you’re going to want to do is make sure that you get a car report to ensure that the car hasn’t had any damage in the past.   You will want to do this regardless of if you buy from a private seller, or dealership.

Inspect and purchase - Once you find the car that you like, and you ran a report, as well as did a test drive, you will want to make a purchase.  You will most likely have to get a loan, or you can pay in cash.  It’s completely up to you.  When you make the purchase, you will then get the title transferred into your name.  Unless you buy from the dealership, you will most likely have to go down to the DMV to get your title, and registration.

Purchasing a car really isn’t that hard, and when you start the process, you will find that most people will guide you through it.  It’s important that you do the research, and you know what you’re getting yourself into.  As long as you don’t get into a scam, you will be just fine!

You’ve seen the license plates that have spellings, or maybe it spells out something that makes no sense.  Well, regardless, if you want to get a license plate that spells something out, and expresses your thoughts, or personality, let’s take a look at how the process is done.

Head to your DMV’s website: Every state has it’s own DMV website, and what you’re going to find out is that a custom license plate is going to cost you extra.  So, it’s up to you, or not if you really want to purchase one.  The fees can range above $100, and more, depending on your state.

What do you want it to say? Every state has their own rules.  You obviously can’t have something that’s racist, insulting, or sends a bad message.  You’re also going to have to think of something that no one else has taken.  Just like a domain name, or user name online, you’re going to find that there’s not that many options out there that you can take advantage of.  Most DMV’s online will have a real time search for you to use.

Find it and purchase it: Depending on your DMV, you can either purchase it online, or you may have to go down to your local office, and yes, wait in line.  Again, make sure that you know how much it’s going to cost you, and also, make sure that the plate is available.  You don’t want to show up, and have no money, and have a name that’s taken.  You’re just going to be wasting your time.

Keep in mind that your plate generally can’t be more than 8 words / numbers long.  Again, each state is going to have it’s own rules, so make sure that you look into what your state is going to say.  You’re going to want to make something creative, such as maybe your name, business name, or a nickname.  If you have something that’s confusing, be prepared for people giving you odd looks, or asking you a lot of questions.
