Tires can be awfully expensive and if your budget is tight, you may want to look at a few places online before you set out and go to your local “franchised” tire store.

• Hit up eBay: Yes, surprisingly eBay does have things such as tires.  In fact, you can find everything from your next new car, all the way up to a house.  Tires is just another thing that you can purchase online.  Yes, some may be used, but what I have found from my research is even the newer tires blow away the local tire shop.
• Check out Amazon: This is another one that shocks many, but again, Amazon sells just about everything.  Now, everything on the site isn’t solely sold by Amazon, but what you’re going to find is that a lot of merchants can tie in their merchandise with Amazon’s power search engine.  So, you may buy tires on there for a good price, but you’re going to get it from other stores.  You will definitely want to keep Amazon in your arsenal when shopping for cheap tires for your car.
• Classified ads such as Craigslist: The last one of my list is Craiglist.  People love using the site, because you can post for free.  This means that you’re going to have a lot of listings.  Hop on the site, do a search for the brand name tires that you want and see what pops up.  You’ll again, be amazed at what people are offering.   When purchasing from a place like Craigslist, make sure that you meet in a safe place, and also make sure that you pay the person in person, rather than online.

Gather up a few buddies and install the tires yourself.  It really doesn’t take an auto whiz to figure out how to take a tire off, as well as put one back on.  Your car should have a tire jack in the back, as well as wrench that can take off the bolts.  By doing this, you can easily save a few bucks on your next tire purchase!
