In today’s technological era, it seems as if everyone and their brother has either an iPhone or an Android phone.  If you’re one of the many that have a smart-phone such as this one, I wanted to point out some phone applications that you can download today to help take advantage of cheap gas prices.

These applications are not only going to point you in the direction, where you can save gas, they are also going to give you other features that you can find very helpful.

Top 5 Applications

#1 Where: I like this one.    It will instantly know where you are and from there, you will be able to see all the gas stations in your area, as well as what they are charging price wise.  From what I looked at, it seemed as if every 8 out of 10 are accurate.

#2 Cheap Gas: This is an application ran by the creators of GasBuddy.com.  Search out your location and you can find the distance, who has the gas, as well as the price.  It will also tell you how accurate the pricing is.

#3 AccuFuel: I love this application as I have played around with this one on my phone.  It’s going to track your mileage, spit out graphs showcasing performance from both then and now.  This is more for those that are really involved with their MPG.

#4 Fuel Bear: This is a gas consumption manager for the Anroid.  You can save the price that you paid at the pump, how many gallons and it will calculate your personal gas mileage, the price per mile, as well as how much gas you used on a daily basis.

#5 GASHOG: This allows you to enter your odometer reading, the amount of fuel that you added and every time you add fuel, you will get the economy of your last take, as well as tips on how you can improve your MPG.
