Credit: FlickrAs I look at the calendar, I’ve soon realized that 2010 is halfway over.  What that means if that the auto makers are soon going to roll out the 2011 model of cars.

Now, if you’re looking for a brand new car in 2010 and you want to purchase it new, rather than used, I came up with 7 cars that you should look into.  Not only is the price tag reasonable, you’re going to get a lot for your money.  Just remember that when you add in extra options and features, you’re going to jump the price tag just a tad.

#1 Nissan Versa (around $10,500): If you get the basic watered down package, you’re going to find that the Versa is going to best suit your needs.  The options are rather limited, but if you start to add options to your package, your price is going to jump.  For example, just by adding the air conditioning, you will throw an extra $1,000 to the price tag.

#2 Honda Fit (around $16,500): The Honda Fit is a simple 4 door hatchback.  If you haven’t owned a Honda before, you’re going to find that they are very reliable, as well as have a very high resale value.

#3 Ford Focus (around $15,500): The Ford Focus hasn’t changed much over the years in terms of looks, but the price tag is still very reasonable for what you get.  You can choose between either a sedan or a coupe and gets 33 MPG+

#4 Toyota Corolla (around $15,000): Toyota is another auto marker that has a high resale value.  The Corolla is a smaller version of the Camry.  Getting 30+ MPG, you can choose from many options, as well as a colors!

#5 Honda Civic (around $15,000): Just like the Fit, the Civic is a tad different.  The Civic has been around for ages, going through many style changes.  Gets around 30 MPG and comes in 2 different body styles.

#6 Pontiac G3 (around $15,000): I personally don’t like the G3 look, but if you’re going to go with a Pontiac car, you may want to look into this model.  This is one of the lowest priced cars that Pontiac sells today.

#7 Kia Rio Base Sedan (around $12,000): All Kia branded cars are very reasonable in price.  They all come equipped with a great warranty, as well as a big selection of options.

You’re not going to find too many vans or trucks on the list but it should get you on the right path when you’re ready to start up your search.
