Adding Car Decals to your Automobile
posted by FindGasCards.comWhether you’re a hardcore car junkie and you love to constantly add things to your car or you simply want to show the world who you love, a car decal may be for you. From sporting logos to animals, you name it, it’s out there. Car decals are extremely easy to apply and are also very reasonable.
Know what you want to get
With so many car decals out there, the first thing you want to do is find out what you want. Do you want a sports logo? animal? a tribal design? There’s a lot out there. I would head over to my favorite place, Amazon and browse through the thousands of car decals they have. Make sure you don’t get something too big because it may not fit on your car.
Start waxing your car spot
Before you get your decal, you can start to prepare your decal. Since most decals will come with directions, you’ll find that it’s not that hard to apply decals to a vehicle. The first thing that you’ll want to do is wax and wash the spot you want to apply the decal on. Make sure you let this area dry before you do anything. The goal is to get it as clean as possible.
Get tape to place the decal on your car
Never ever just apply the decal to the car and take the backing off. Instead, grab some scotch tape and tape it to your car. You’ll want to make sure it’s where you want it before you peel the backing off because this will just do more damage. Have someone else look at it for you before you do anything just to play it safe.
Peel off the backing
When it finally looks straight, you’ll slowly want to peel off the backing and watch it stick to the car. You won’t want to peel it off too fast because it may move and not be placed where you want it. The slower your peel it back, the easier it is for you. After you peel the backing, you’ll want to cut away any lining or edges you don’t need.
After everything is done with, you’ll want to slowly scrape away any bubbles and make it as flat as possible to make it look nice. You’ll want to remove any access tape you have as well that was left over on your car. You’ll see that once you get a decal, it’s extremely easy to apply and let’s hope it’s everything you want.
