Taking your car to the car wash to get it detailed can get expensive. Depending on where you live and what you drive, you can easily look at spending more than one hundred dollars. When it comes to detailing your car at home, I thought I’d write up a list of things that you can use in order to get your car looking good as new.
A Car Care Kit: If you don’t want to buy every item individually, you may want to consider buying a car kit for your future car washes. These kits come with everything from shampoo to tire protectant. Many of these kits can be found for a little under $50 brand new.
Water Blade: The water blades are designed to whisk away all the water after you’re done cleaning the outside. If you let the water settle too long on the outside of the car, you may find that you’re going to have faint spots. Consider buying the water blade so that you can get rid of those pesky water droplets.
Stain and spot remover: If you have sap spots or stains on the outside of the car, you may find that washing with water just isn’t going to work. This is where the water stain and spot remover is going to come in. You’ll want to apply it to a cloth and rub away the spot. These cleaners can be found for a few dollars.
Turtle Wax: You can’t forget the wax when you’re done cleaning up your car. A simple car wax is going to give your car a deep, brilliant shine making your car look like its brand new.
Odor eliminator: Whether you have pets or you spilt something in your car a long time ago, you may find that you just have a smell lingering in the car. If you have this problem, you may want to consider getting a car odor remover. This will make your car not only smell like new, it will also prevent smells from coming in the future.
Leather care kit- When you have leather seats in your car, you may find that they get worn out rather quickly. Instead of letting them go, get some cream that will make the seats look better than new. These creams run a little under $10 and are definitely worth the investment if your leather seats are looking a little beat up.
Interior Shampoo – If you don’t have leather seats and you only have cloth, there are many alternatives out there that you can use when it comes to cleaning the cloth, including shampoo. Simply spray this shampoo on your seats and let it deep clean for you.
Detailing cloth – Once you’re done cleaning up the dash, your seats and more, you’re going to want to wipe down your inside with a detailing cloth. These cloths are specifically designed for a car interior to give you that shiny appeal.
Detailing your car on your own can take a while but it’s well worth it. You won’t have to pay a lot of money and you don’t have to worry about what people do to the inside. Look at some of these items listed above and see if they work for you the next time you clean the inside of your car.
