With the Winter time here, it’s always nice to start up your car ahead of time, so that you don’t have to sit in a cold car waiting for it to warm up. Even if you don’t live in a colder climate, a remote starter is also great for those looking to cool down the car as well.
There are so many car starters on the market and it’s no wonder why it’s so hard to pick one out. If you already know how to install one, that’s great because you’re going to save on labor fees. If you don’t, you’re looking at doubling the price of what you’re going to pay for the starter itself. I would advise you look for a friend or relative that can help you.
Bulldog Remote Starter with Keyless Entry
The Bulldog series is one of the best when it comes to remote starters. This particular kit is one of the easiest to install and comes with DVD instructions. This company really wants to show you how to install it so that you can bypass those high labor fees. It includes a four button remote transmitter, a dedicated start/stop button as well as a range up to 400 feet.
BDRS1200E Remote Starter w/ Extended Range
The BDRS1200 can be found for less than $100 and has had some great reviews on some of the auto websites out there. With the BDRS, you’re going to have a range of up to 800 feet, which is one of the best on the market. Besides that, you’ll also get a fully programmable remote as well as a programmed run time.
Bulldog Deluxe 500 Two-Way Remote Starter
This particular Bulldog model is a little more advanced than the one mentioned above. The deluxe 500 is designed to enable convenient remote starting of the vehicle, it features a two-way transceiver and works with both automatic and manual transmissions. Not only that, it also includes a 5-button LCD remote.
If you haven’t messed with a remote starter yet, try going down to one of the automotive speciality shops that focus on this type of stuff. They will most likely have a demo on display to show you how great they really are. Remember, if you’re able to install this, I would highly advise you do it becasue you’re going to save 50-70%. Labor costs are always going to be high. Remote starters are great to save you from the cold and for the price, every car driver should consider one!

Got the Easycar E702AS-S installed on my car. It is an excellent remote starter with top specs like keyless entry and a passcode system similar to Z-pass. The TFT LCD remote is awesome!
