You’ve heard of car advertising before, I’m sure.  The advertising company will supply you with a wrap to wrap your car, or maybe, they will give you a free car.  In return, you’re going to get paid for driving around.  Sure, it sounds great, but what you’re going to find out is that you’re going to be limited to particular companies.

How the heck can I make money with car advertisements?

First off, you’re going to have to look at your driving schedule. If you only drive around for a few miles a day, you’re probably going to be left out.  You need to look at it from a company’s perspective.  They want people that drive all over the place in major metropolitan areas.

If you meet the following guidelines, you may be able to get approved for a program…

• Drive more than 75 miles a day
• Live in a popular city (LA, Boston, NYC, etc)
• Drive on major highways
• Able to park in well trafficked areas
• Work in a popular area
• Good driving record

If you’re answering yes to all of these, you’re going to have a good chance at getting approved.

Where can I find a company that’s going to need me?

There are a lot of companies out there.  Most of them are going to be scams, while others are going to be legit.  You can generally spot a scam, if it sounds way too good to be true.  Usually you’re just going to want to trust your gut.  If your gut is saying, “no”, you will probably want to look elsewhere.  You can always try paid guides that can help you through the process.

What are my odds of getting approved?

If you meet the criteria mentioned above, you can have a pretty good chance.  What you’re going to find with many car advertising based companies is that they have thousands of people on a waiting list, because who doesn’t want a free car?

While it never hurts to try it out, you can add your name to the list.  I wouldn’t count on making an income from it, but if you’re interested, so some more research, and see if it’s something for you!
