Cheap Auto Insurance for Teenagers
posted by FindGasCards.comBeing a teenager isn’t easy when it comes down to getting auto insurance. As long as you’re under the age of 25, you’re going to have to pay premium rates but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to have to pay top dollar. I’m going to show you a few tips you can take in order to get the best car nsurance rates as a teenager.
Get good grades – Every car insurance company loves to see teenagers get good grades on their report card. Why is this? Good grades show that you’re willing to work hard in school and it shows you’re responisble and you’re not messing around. If you’re failing school, insurance companies will still insure you but you’ll have to pay more than the A student.
Always buy cheap – Don’t go out and buy a car that’s worth $20,000. This is a huge no-no. You’re going to want to buy a very cheap car because this will be a lot cheaper to insure. Make sure that when you do purchase a cheaper vehicle, that you have safety features tied in with it such as airbags and anti lock breaks. The more features you have, the better rates you’re going to get.
Drive safe – As a teenager, I know you want to drive like the coolest kid on the block but try to think of your money first. No one cares about you and your fast car. As long as you drive safe and get no speeding tickets, you’ll find your insurance bill getting cheaper by the months. What’s cooler to you? A cheaper bill or driving fast and reckless with a high insurance premium?
Always shop around – When you’re calling for auto quotes, make sure that you shop around. Don’t just buy the first quote you hear about. Instead, call up about 5 different places to get an idea of how much you’re going to be paying. Also, make sure that when you do get a quote, you have a high deductible. The higher your deductible is, the less you’ll have to pay.
TIP: Check out a website like MyAutoLoan that will allow you to fill out your information and the lenders will contact you with the rates!
Finding cheap teenager auto insurance isn’t that hard. It’s just going to take a little bit of your time. I suggest you take an afternoon off and do your research looking for insurance quotes. The more places you call, the better rates you’re going to get.
