Diesel Fuel: Little Known Facts
posted by FindGasCards.comDiesel fuel knows by producers as being unstable has slowed down the use for hybrid vehicles. The instability causes diesel fuel to form sludge which contributes to build up of particulates in the injectors. The particulates clog fuel filters which bring on serious service issues common to the diesel engine. Many people are afraid to buy a hybrid vehicle that operates with a diesel engine because of this problem. The major automakers have stopped or slowed down production of hybrids that use a diesel engine for fear that the consumer would not buy the vehicles.
It is a known factor that diesel fuel contamination problems have two different areas to consider, biology and chemistry. “Fuel Bugs” are bacteria and fungus referred to as Cyan bacteria that form in the diesel fuel thriving very well on the diesel and water. These ‘Fuel Bugs’ often cause thousands of dollars of damage to the engine and there are over 100 types that can live in the fuel. On the other hand the most common problem is the chemical problem that arises from using diesel fuels.
The diesel fuel can create sludge that causes the engine to need repair which is very expensive. Sludge build up in an engine come from the sediments that are formed after continuous use. The problem is that it keeps building up until it causes damage to the engine and the service or engine replacement is very expensive. The sedimentation formation begins the fuel creates Asphaltene, cluster up, fall out of solution, and settle to the bottom of fuel tanks creating sludge. Then the fuel deteriorates until it darkens, produces a foul odor, and often causes diesel engines to smoke. This is a very unpleasant situation for the consumer causing them to fear buying a hybrid that is maintained by diesel fuel. The automakers took this all into consideration and started experimenting with different methods that would take care of the problem.
The new continuous flow Centrifuge unit takes care of the problem making diesel fuel one of the most economical types of gasoline on the market today. The Centrifuge keeps the diesel running continuously through the engine collecting all the sedimentation and stopping any sludge from forming. This new invention has opened the door to many new hybrids on the market. You can now get the same speed and better gas mileage by using diesel fuel. The new hybrids on the market today all come with this Centrifuge so the consumer does not have to worry about any problems concerning the engine
