When looking to purchase a new car, you’re soon going to find out that you’re going to want a free vehicle history report.  The question is, “Can I get a free vehicle history report online?”, and if I can, how can I find one?

First off, I want to tell you that it is possible to get a free report, but what you’re going to find out is that you’re most likely going to have to look at a car in order to get it.

This is what I mean…

Head to a site like eBay, and their Motors section.  Start browsing through the cars, and what you’re going to find out is that they will provide you with an AutoCheck score.  This score is going to be provided to you for free, and it’s going to showcase if it has any title issues, if there have been any accidents reported, if the odometer had a rollback, and more.

Another site such as AutoTrader.com has a free check also.  If the seller decides to use it, you’re going to get a free  report.  On this report, you’re going to get details such as  the Auto Check score, all the details about the car, and more.

What you’re going to soon find out is that you can’t really get a free auto check on a car that you may be looking into that isn’t on this site, but you can find that you can get your own report by heading to a website such as Experian.  The reports are relatively cheap, and many of the major dealers use these, making them very reliable.

I would highly recommend that you look into a history report.  Sure, it’s going to cost you a few dollars, but if you find something wrong, you’re going to thank god that you did it!
