Since our blog and website is based mainly around gasoline and getting rebates on gas, I’ve received a few e-mails asking me if I knew anything about Gasoline Redemption? At first, I really never heard anything about it, but when I started to do more research, I found out that my actual Dad had an experience with a company like this.
A few months back, my Dad had signed up for a timeshare seminar. All you would have to do is sit through the speech, tell them you’re not interested, and they would in return, give you vouchers for free gas. All you needed to do was send in your receipt and the company will give you a rebate. It sounded odd, but hey, it was worth a shot.
After a month or so of sending in receipts and never hearing back, I decided to do some digging online and this is what I found out –
Their website, GasolineRedemption.com will actually forward you to “TidewaterMarketing.com”. According to the website, honorable John A. Schaefer of the 6th Judicial Circuit Court in Pinellas County, FL filed an order for a preliminary injunction and appointment. It already sounds like this company is receiving numerous complaints.
If that’s not enough, countless scam sites online have reported this company for failing to redeem the coupons. After sending coupons in, many consumers would get the run around stating that their coupons won’t be accepted because it’s not the right brand of gas, etc. It sounds as if they are using every excuse in the book.
You can read some of the complaints mentioned on the following sites:
If you do come in contact with this company, I would advise that you stay far away. According to some individuals, it looks as if the company just does this over and over by changing their name. If you have more information on this company, feel free to drop us a comment.
