How A Boycott Can Save Gas Prices

The price of gas keeps climbing and the economy gets worse day by day. Where will it end ask many analysis. The consumer losing his job or getting a hefty cut in wages but the price of gas is like the towering inferno. We need gas to drive just about every place and even public transit is starting to put a hike on their transportation prices. There must be something that we can do to put a halt on the rising price of gasoline. One major suggestion is to boycott the two major oil companies Mobil and Exxon.
There has been the practice of not buying gas on a certain day of the week usually Tuesday. This does not really help the consumer because this does not hurt the oil companies as they sell twice as much the next day. The one day boycott only makes the life of the consumer harder. The next day the oil companies usually enact a raise in the price of gas. Since the consumer has to give in and buy they pay for their one day boycott. The solution is not just a one day boycott but a totally over all boycott of the two major oil companies. We need to as Americans boycott both Mobil and Exxon all across the nation causing them to have to come down on their gas prices and then the other oil companies will do the same. There are other oil companies that you can buy your gasoline from that are not supplied by these two big companies.
You only need to boycott them for about three to six months and I am sure that you will see a drastic price reduction. A coalition needs to be formed in order to organize this boycott so that everyone will know what stations are being supplied by Mobil and Exxon, the word about the boycott needs to be broadcasted and finally we all need to stick to our guns. This is the only true way that we can do anything to control the price of gasoline. The government has tried on both local and national level to no avail. Some of the governors have fined service stations for over pricing the gasoline while others have made them give back to the consumer by cutting the price. Still the price of gasoline rises and the consumer remains the one who has to carry the heavy burden. The federal government has tried to help by releasing more gas and dropping excise taxes only to find the oil companies take advantage lining their pockets with even more profits. Americans against Gas Hikes should stand and be recognized!
