There is nothing worse than rushing to get to work and because you were rushing, you get pulled over.  It seems like everyone is always rushing to go somewhere, and were always in a hurry.  Often when we get pulled over we are set free with a ticket to drive away with.  Tight on money already?  Tickets are never fun, so try and get out of the ticket as best as you can.  Need some ideas?  Consider some of these ideas and see if you can get out of your traffic ticket!

Why you were speeding - If there is a reason you were speeding, let the cop know.  Tell him you’ve hard a bad morning and you’re just in a rush to get to work or to get where ever you’re going. (Just make the place you’re going to really important. Don’t ever just say sorry and not have a reason for speeding.  This looks like you just don’t care and don’t pay attention.

Apologize – Let the cop know that you are sorry and that you won’t do it again.  He probably won’t believe you but it’s always worth a shot.  Be sincere, it’s the least you can do.  You broke the rules and now it’s time to apologize for doing something you know  you shouldn’t have done.  It’s worth a shot!

Don’t argue – If the cop seems upset with you already don’t argue with him.  You’re better off just taking the blame for what he says.  Also, try to be very understanding with him and agree to what he says by admitting you’re wrong.

Do you have a good record? – If you have a good record, let him know that!  If you were speeding and you rarely ever speed, let him know.  Cops will let you go more if you don’t have any tickets on your record.  Just explain why you were in such a hurry and say “I’m sorry, I usually am never in a hurry I was just running late for..”  Explain your past driving record if it’s clean!

New to the area?  – If you’re new to the area, let him know!  Often if we are driving in new places we are unaware of what the speeds are, it’s worth a shot!  Just say that you were unaware of the area and you’ve never been there.

It really depends on your cop when you get a speeding ticket.  We all want to get out of a speeding ticket but sometimes we can’t.  Try and consider some of the things above and try your best to avoid paying the fines.  Do the best you can and hope that you don’t get that ticket!
