Every once in a while I like to take a look at some specifications on the cars on the market today.  As we go on with this blog, I plan on doing a simple specification sheet to make things easier for you.

What you’re going to find out with major car company websites is that they don’t lay things out that easy.  Instead, you have to dig deep with a lot of items to find what you’re looking for.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the Mazda RX-8 specs.  This is a run down on the new 2010 version.

  • The price: You’re looking at a range from $26,000 to $32,000, depending on the model that you want.  You can choose from the Sport, Grand Touring and R3.
  • Engine: Most models include the 232-HP RENESIS 2-rotor based engine with a 6 speed manual transmission.
  • Unique features: The cool thing about the RX8 is that is has the option of adding the Bose(R) audio system, making your trip have nothing but clear sound.  You may also add items such as heated seats, keyless entry, as a remote start.
  • Safety: Includes your front air bags, as well as front side impact airbags, side impact curtains, and a TPMS, which is your tire pressure monitoring system.
