Are you in need of a new vehicle some time soon?  It seems as though our vehicles always die on us at the wrong time and when we need them most.  When our vehicle dies we always come up with two options.  We either think of leasing or buying a new/used vehicle.  There are many benefits to both and many disadvantages to both.  If you’re considering leasing a vehicle in the future you first want to make sure you write out the advantages and disadvantages of leasing.  If you read previously to this article you can read what the benefits are.  As for the disadvantages of leasing read below.

• The vehicle is not yours – If you want to own a vehicle you obviously don’t want to lease.  You want to make sure you think really hard about this one on what you really want.
• No changes – When you lease a vehicle it comes how it is.  You cannot install any certain things or features to your liking.  So basically you cannot customize it since it’s not yours.
• Certain mileage – When we lease a vehicle we usually sign some type of contract that says we can’t go over a certain amount of miles.  When we do go over our miles we tend to get charged for every mile we go over.  So when leasing, you have to think about where you’re going and how many miles you’re going to use.
• Insurance – If you’re looking to spend the least amount of money possible you may not want to consider leasing.  When we lease a vehicle we have to put on the best insurance just in case something happens to it.  The best insurance calls for a large amount of money.
• Down payment – When you lease a vehicle you usually have to have a certain amount of money right away for a down payment.  Certain dealerships want over $2,000 for a down payment and they expect that money so you can get your car.  Will you be okay with fishing up that money?

There are many advantages and disadvantages of leasing a vehicle.  There are many ways of looking at it but it is most important to think of your lifestyle and what will work for you.
