The new 2009 Chevy Malibu has undergone some major changes that will keep it as a major player in vehicles. Key change describes the fact that the six-speed automatic becomes more widely available with the four-cylinder engine. The four-cylinder engine is now standard instead of the V6. The new Chevy Malibu is including the Bluetooth connectivity as an option while stability control becomes standard across the lineup. The power-adjustable pedals are no longer offered but this could be a good thing since before they were causing problems.

The likeable qualities have not changed so Malibu lovers you can still get all the roomy, attractive cabin, nicely balanced ride and handling that Malibu has always offered. The improvements have made many competitors stand up and take a second look. The rivals of midsize family sedan such as Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, Mazda 6, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry are now taking a look at their models and making some changes to keep up with this magnificent competitor. The Chevy Malibu long a competitor in the sports look is now becoming even more of a competitor for the midsize vehicles for families as well. The fact that the new improvements are making the gas mileage much better and the excess room seems to have really added a big boost in the model.

The Chevy Malibu has colored keyed side mirrors and side moldings, a chrome exhaust outlet, steering-wheel mounted audio controls and carpeted floor mats that only make it beauty even more desirable by the consumer. The style up grated to include polished wheels, remote engine start, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a power driver seat and heated front seats only makes the desirability even more interesting.  Safety has not been slacking since the Chevy Malibu has antilock disc brakes, stability/traction control, front-seat side airbags and side curtain airbags are standard on all trims. Also the Chevy Malibu 2009 earned five stars from the government crash testing which is the highest rating possible. Since the Chevy Malibu has scored a “Good” rating actually the highest possible it makes it one of the best cars on the market for 2009.

Not to advocate one vehicle over another it is good to have an idea of how the auto makers are producing newer vehicles for the consumer. The government plans a bailout program spending the tax payers dollars so why not have a few good reviews about the newer vehicles to determine if we really do want to support the pending bailout.
