Are you looking to give your car the ultimate cleaning job? If so, there is a lot that can be done to make your car look like it just came off the dealership. Whether you’re cleaning because it’s a nice day or you’re looking to sell your vehicle in the near future there are tips that can help you really shine up your vehicle.
Wash – The first step you’re going to want to do is wash your vehicle. Get your car in a nice shady area (to avoid drying too quickly.) Wash it down with water, then soap then a final rinse of water. Remember, really get your tires and the underneath parts of your car.
Wheels – Next you’re going to really want to scrub down the tires. Do both the rims and the rubber parts. Once they’re dry, polish them up with a nice gloss to make them really shine.
Throw out - Now, let the outside of your car sit for a while and work on the inside. Go in your car and throw out anything and everything that you don’t want. A car can easily turn into a house holding clothes, garbage, food and everything else under the sun. So, get rid of all the junk you don’t want or use.
Vacuum - Next, you’re going to want to do the carpet. Get a vacuum and suck up all the dirt, rocks and whatever else is all over your car’s carpet. If you have to, even shampoo the whole carpet or just spots. Once you’re done with that vacuum the seats, the insides of the glove boxes and any other nooks and crannies that hold dirt or dust.
Wipe down – Now, wipe everything down that you can and get rid of all the dust and dirty spots. This means the whole inside of the car including the insides of the windows. Often there are several finger prints and spots all over the inside of the windows.
Wax – The last, and the best finishing touch is to do a wax job. Get a good bottle of wax and a wax pad and start waxing down. Do two coats and see how your car will really shine!
If you really want a clean car, consider the tips above. They are all important steps and should be done in that order. Once you’re done you will have a brand new looking car!
