If you’re a big bike rider and you love to take your bike everywhere, you’re going to find that your car may not do the trick.  The last thing that you want to do is tear your bike apart and throw it inside the trunk.

Thankfully for bike racks, you can hook up your bike and you’re good to go on your next biking outing.  With so many bike racks out there, I wanted to showcase the top 5 racks on the market.

I checked out some e-commerce based stores online and these are solely based on reviews and what other people had to say about them.  Here’s what I came up with.

Hollywood Racks E3: This 3-bike trunk rack is very user-friendly.  It protects your bike finish, it has a great tie down strap for extra security and is designed to fit perfectly on just about any type of vehicle.  It also comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

Topeak Explorer Bike Rack: For around $30, this highly reviewed bike rack should be able to get the job done.  It weighs less than 2 pounds, its made of hollow aluminum and its frame is able to withstand just about anything.

Thule 958 Parkway 2-Bike: This rack is a little bit more in the price, but you’re going to get what you pay for, obviously!  This particular model holds up to 2 bikes, it’s soft rubber cradle is made to protect your bike.  It fits all types of bikes with its unique dual arm design.

Saris Bones 805 2-Bike: This trunk mount is fairly comparable to the Thule branded mount.  Its strong, built with 100% recyclable non-rusting materials.  It also has a ratcheting anti-sway strap to stabilize your bike.

Allen 102S Premium Trunk: This Allen bike rack is designed to fit 2 bikes.  It’s extra long arms can easily accommodate up to 2 bikes.  It’s great design snaps right into place and can be folded away with one hand.  This comes fully assembled and fits most cars out there.

There are countless bike racks out there.  While most of them are universal, you’re going to want to make sure that these racks fit your car properly.
