>> What is a Gas Credit Card?

A gas credit card, also known as a gas rebate credit card and/or gas card works like any other credit card except for the fact that it focuses on gas rebates.  Gasoline credit cards have been around for a while and have been saving consumers hundreds of dollars yearly just for using a credit card at the pump.

Gas credit cards are generally offered from major companies such as VISA,
MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX.  On most of the cards, you will generally find either the major company logo or you may also find that there’s a gas station logo on there as well.  Most gas stations issues credit cards that can be used solely at their gas station.  When used at the gas station, you’ll be able to get a rebate on your purchase.  This rebate will generally run anywhere from one percent and on.

There are two types of cards you can apply for when looking for one.  You’ll have one that focuses on saving at all gas stations and one that focuses on one gas station.  Even though there aren’t many differences, you may find yourself saving more money with a card that is focused on one gas station.  This will all depend on what kind of card you apply for.  Every gas card is different.

When it comes down to applying for a gas card, make sure you have a perfect credit score.  Most credit card companies will look into this when you apply for one.  If you feel your score is good enough for a card, simply apply.  The worst that can happen is a simple denial letter.
